Shake up a crowd-pleasing Spiced Gingerbread Cocktail and get everyone into the festive spirit this Christmas Eve. Enjoy a delicious blend of sweet and spicy flavours; fiery brandy, zesty orange, fragrant star anise, warming cinnamon and maple syrup. It’s not too late to pop to the shops and get what you need to make this delicious Christmas Eve treat!
Makes 1
Ingredients:
- Spiced Gingerbread Kombucha
- 2 tbsp Calvados
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice
- Pear slices, a twist of orange peel and star anise to garnish
- Ice for mixing
- Sugar and cinnamon for the glass rim
Method:
- First cut your orange in half and rub around the rim of the glass.
- On a small plate mix some sugar with a sprinkling of cinnamon.
- Dip the rim of the glass into the sugar mixture so that the rim is coated all the way round.
- Add some ice to a cocktail shaker.
- Pour in the Calvados, maple syrup and orange juice.
- Shake well then strain into a tumbler.
- Top up with Spiced Gingerbread Kombucha and garnish with a slice of pear, a twist of orange peel and star anise.
Calvados is a variety of brandy made from apples. If you have trouble finding it then just
substitute with your favourite brandy.
